UFL COMPETITION GUIDELINES

UFL Regular Season:
Each of the 12 UFL teams will play 22 matches in the UFL Regular Season, 11 at home and 17 away.
At the end of the UFL Regular Season, the top 6 teams will qualify to the UFL Playoffs.
UFL Playoffs:
The top 6 teams will qualify to the next round for Playoffs.
1st and 2nd place will qualify directly to Semi-Finals.
3rd through 6th place will face in a one game playoff to earn a spot in Semi-Finals. (3rd will play 6th and 4th will play 5th).
Semi-Finals and Final will be one game played.
Point System:
Clubs will receive three points for a win, one point for a tie and zero points for a loss.
Tie-Break Procedures:
UFL Regular Season, in the event that two or more teams finish the regular season with an equal number of points (or points per game), the following tiebreakers will be used. If the standard of points per game is used, the tiebreakers will be calculated on a per-game basis.
- Head to head win. (which team beat the other)
- Total number of wins
- Goal Differential (GD)
- Goals For (GF)
- Fewest Disciplinary Points* per match
- Coin Toss (tie of two clubs) or Drawing of Lots (tie of three or more clubs)
UFL Playoffs, in the event of a tie at the final whistle both teams will go straight to a penalty shootout EXCEPT in the final, in which both teams will play two 15 min halves of extra time and if that results into a tie as well then they will go to a penalty shootout.
Team Benches:
Both the home team and visiting team will be allowed as many individuals as wished on their respective club benches.
Both the home and visiting team must have a designated Coach. (No Player-Coaches will be accepted on the benches)
Suspended players and/or coaches cannot be in the bench area.
Match Postponement:
Matches may be postponed when circumstances exist such that continuation of play would pose a threat to the safety of participants or spectators.
Matches that have been postponed will be tried to be played either during the week before the next matchday weekend or in a weekend where field availability is good.
Player Substitutions:
Each team is allowed to have as many substitutions in the first half as they want.
Second half every team has 5 substitution windows to make as many subs as they want.
Every player is allowed to come in and out as many times as they want.
Game Clock:
The game clock will start at the designated time of the game. Any delay will affect the duration of the game.
Teams will play two 45 min halves with a 10 min half time.
The official game time for all MLS games will be managed on the field by the referee. If necessary, the referee may also allot additional time (a.k.a. "stoppage time���) at the end of each period (first half, second half, and if applicable, first extra time period and second extra time period during playoff matches) to account for injuries, cooling breaks, time-wasting, or any other cause.
UFL Code of Conduct:
Physical aggression or attempting to assault a referee and/or player: Suspension for ten (5-10) Weeks of all leagues organized by the company and a fine. (Subject to the referee report)
Spits at opponent or any other person: suspension of the tournament for ten (10) Weeks and a $100.00 fine.
Attempted aggression to a player: 2-5 games (Subject to referee's report).
Using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures (Verbal aggression to a referee): 2 games and a fine (Subject to referee's report).
Using offensive, insulting or abusive language and/or gestures (Verbal aggression to a player): 1-3 games and a fine. (Subject to referee's report).
Violent conduct: 2-5 Games and a fine
Mutual Aggression: 2-5 games and a fine
Serious Foul Play: 2 Games and a fine
Receiving a Second Caution in the same match (Double yellow): 1 Game no fine.
Unsportsmanlike Behavior: Any action that occurs on and off the field, in which the Player lacks respect for the referee, assistants or another player including the same team. It will have a suspension between 1-5 games and a fine according to the gravity of the action.
Racist Expressions: (hate speech, derogatory remarks, etc.) 3 games.
Repeated infringements: in any of the serious offenses the suspension and the fine will be doubled.
Concurrent Infringements (Red Cards Accumulated): Each Three (3) Red Cards in the same league, the player will be suspended 5 games and will pay a $50.00 fine.
Any act of indiscipline: on the premises of the park, by players, managers, and fans, will be analyzed in an extraordinary meeting among those involved.
Sanction by W.0: Teams that do now show up to a game must pay $300.00. The Team could be replaced by a team in the waiting list.
Fraud: A player who commits fraud (playing while suspended, playing with another name, etc.) will have an additional suspension of 3 Games and a $30.00 fine
